0.8 mm fiberglass cloth is made from woven fiberglass fabric and has a satin weave, making it more effective for medium to heavy welding sparks. Its lighter weight and heat treated satin fire blanket offers greater resistance to thermal shock due to welding sparks than other textured fabrics and is hairless to reduce skin irritation.
Aside from welding, this high-strength satin fabric also has excellent electrical insulation, corrosion resistance, and heat resistance. Furthermore, it can take resin impregnation well, making its applications far-reaching. It can be used in shipyards, petrochemicals and metal constructions for heat insulation, insulation lining, extensive welding and even as the base material for coating. The cloth’s service temperature can withstand up to 550 degree Celsius.
